BUILDING THE

CATHOLIC FAITH

Our spiritual mission is in the proclamation of the Word of God, living the Catholic faith, and encouraging investigation of the truth so that we can:

  • Discover the revelation of God’s mystery in every subject
  • Promote and develop a personal relationship with God
  • Guide students to live their faith by making their religion relevant through prayer, teaching, example, and opportunities to reflect Jesus in thought and word
  • Work together to develop a caring environment which facilitates mutual respect and cooperation
  • Encourage a compassionate awareness of the larger community outside of school through education, involvement in service projects, and participation in parish and community organizations and events

We are passionate about educating and nurturing the minds, bodies, and souls of our students to become our future Catholic leaders with the readiness skills for high school and beyond.

FAITH FORMATION IS MORE THAN LEARNING FROM A BOOK

IT IS LEARNING TO LIVE THE FAITH EACH DAY

Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School is guided by the parish pastor and The Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools. Our first-rate faculty instills confidence in parents that their investment in a Catholic school education will support their child’s complete development and personal success.

RELIGIOUS CURRICULUM & FAITH DEVELOPMENT

As stated in our School Overview section, here at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School, we strive to emulate a Christ-centered community that weaves the teachings of the Church within the school day and year. Along with daily religion classes, the students attend school Mass celebrated weekly on Fridays, for feast days and holy days, and each class participates in weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Confessions are offered once a month for the school which provides a solid basis for students to receive the sacraments.

Regular routines include morning and afternoon school prayer, recitation of the rosary and the Angelus before lunch. Lectio Divina is practiced once a week in the individual classrooms and the Divine Mercy chaplet is prayed on Thursday afternoons.

Other Catholic traditions celebrated throughout the year include the Feast of the Holy Rosary, All Saints Day, Feast of Christ the King, St. Nicholas’ Feast Day, Stations of the Cross during Lent and many others.

Service becomes an embedded part of life at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School with activities such as the St. Vincent De Paul Society food collection, the annual Giving Wreath gift collection program, Christ in the City feeding of the homeless event, Operation Christmas Child, winter coat collection, and items for the Gabriel House.
