I grew up in Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University. I married out of college, and my husband, Jay and I lived in Atlanta, Georgia for about four years before moving to Colorado in 1997. After beginning our family, I stayed at home as a very busy mother of four children. In time, I found my way back to teaching part time in Jefferson County public schools. Wanting to share my faith on a deeper level, I decided to apply for teaching jobs in the Archdiocese. This fall, I will begin my third year teaching middle school English. My hobbies include long hikes with our dog, Chance, gardening, swimming, and reading. My bucket list includes learning how to knit and a retirement dream of sailing the Great American Loop with Jay.
